Do I need to add vehicles?
Using Metrc with Cova: Yes. Delivery vehicles are required so deliveries can be tracked in Metrc. See Delivery Fulfilment With Metrc and Cova.
All other setups: Optional. Add vehicles if you'd like to keep track of which car is used on each route.
Delivering by bike or on foot: Nothing needs to be added here.
Adding a vehicle
In the Carrot Staff App, go to Settings > Vehicles.
Click New Vehicle.
Fill in the vehicle details: Name (e.g., "Company Car"), Make, Model, Year, Color, and Plate.
Save the vehicle. It will now appear in your vehicle list and be available for delivery routes.
Repeat for each vehicle your team uses for deliveries.
Important: vehicles can't be deleted
Once a vehicle is created, it cannot be deleted. Double-check the details before saving. If you need a vehicle removed, please reach out to the Carrot support team for assistance.
